Registration: Barre Fall Dam Hike, the Western side (11-04-2017 10:30 am - 03:00 pm)
Join us for a hike at Barre Falls Dam. After exploring the eastern portion of the preserve in the spring this time we will explore the western side of the recreation area as we hike 6-8 miles. The hike will take us on back woods roads down along the banks of the Ware River and then along a section of the Mid-State Trail. We will be hiking on both back roads and trails for an easy-moderate hike. Pack a lunch and wear a good pair of boots. Although Deer Hunting Season is not until the end of the month it is the last day of the turkey hunting season so if you have some safety orange please bring it. I will have some safety orange vents to share. Wal Mart has inexpensive orange vest.
Directions: Barre Falls Dam is off of Route 62 in Barre, MA. Enter at the sign for the Recreation Area and on to Barre Road. Go down the road and across the dam. We will meet at the parking area found there. Look for my white Ford Ranger. From either Route 2 or Route 190 take Route 140 to Route 62. Any Questions email Tom at Thikenow@Hotmail.com
