Welcome to Chiltern Mountain Club

Chiltern Mountain Club is New England's oldest LGBT outing club.  The club is an inclusive gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender club and welcomes their friends. CMC is an all-volunteer club that strives to create a relaxed environment for people to experience the outdoors together and come together as a community. Members help run the club and can volunteer to lead trips and help out with club events.

CMC events are open to members and non-member guests, and activities range anywhere from an easy garden walk to a strenuous backpacking trip. We welcome people of all abilities and backgrounds, so there's no need to feel intimidated if you're new to an activity.  Of course, be mindful of your physical abilities as they relate to a particular activity.

CMC hosts a series of club sponsored events throughout the year. The events are a way of bringing club members together and getting to know one another while enjoying the outdoors. In the Spring the club host an Annual Spring Activity Day and Spring Camping Jamboree Weekend. In the Summer the club host a beach day, and in the Fall the club host a Fall Camping Jamboree and a Fall Activities Day. In early winter the club holds its Annual Meeting. Members are encouraged to lend a hand to help make each event successful.
